Turn to Jer. 29:11 (NIV)
Every Christian has a divine destiny. The Word of Says in Jer. 29:11:
11: “For I know the plans I have for you,
declares the Lord, Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you
hope and a future.”  You see, God has a plan and a purpose for your life. If you want to
fulfill your divine destiny, you must first realize and understand that you
have a divine destiny. You will never fulfill what you don’t know you have.
We are living in a time when our standard of living is going up, up, up. We enjoy mechanical
conveniences and physical luxuries such as the world has never known. But no
other generation that cbd products ever lived on the face of the earth has had as many
cares of life as our generation.
Never has any generation faced the perplexing problems we face today. Despite all of our
efforts and technological advances, misery is being piled on top of misery.
Famine and disease stalk many lands. Mankind, both as a whole and individually
stands in dire need.
However, the Word of God teaches we can change these things. The devil may have destined us for
pain and sorrow, but we can change that destiny through faith in God. We, not
God, hold the key to our own destiny and future. God has already done
everything He’s going to do for mankind. He has made a way of escape. Through
the blood redemption of the Lord Jesus Christ, we can have faith to change our
destiny while on this earth.
You and I have two choices: we can either fold our hands or succumb to complacency, or we can
fulfill our divine destiny! Every day you are faced with these two choices. You
may have been unconsciously choosing the first one. But now that you know God
has a destiny for you, choose His way!
Faith to change your destiny and receive God’s best!
The Bible is full of examples of people who had to face these same choices. Circumstances had
determined a particular destiny for them, but they used their faith to change
their destiny. As we look at some of these examples, let’s try to imagine the
situation as each of them asked himself the question, where do I go from here?
First, in Mark 10:46-52, we find the example of Bartimaeus
who, when faced with these choices, decided to change his destiny. He chose to
fulfill God’s destiny for his life. He was blind. Bartimaeus realizes that this
is his opportunity. What he does from this moment on does not rest in the hands
of God, nor does it rest in the hands of religious leaders. What happens to him
from this moment on rests solely with blind Bartimaeus himself?
The Word of God says in Romans 10:17, “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. In John 1:14 John’s Gospel states “that the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.” That Word was Jesus Christ.
When Bartimaeus hears that the Word is passing by, faith leaps in his heart. He asks himself
“do I sit here and let the crowd go by and maybe accumulate a few coins? Or do
I turn to the only real help mankind has ever known? It doesn’t take him long
to make up his mind and respond to that question. Jumping to his feet, he
screams and hollers. “Jesus, the son of David, have
mercy on me” Mark 10:47.
Bartimaeus had the
faith he needed to change his destiny in life. He made his choice, and his life
was changed.
Others that changed their destiny were the 10 lepers in Luke 17.
The woman with the issue of blood was another example in Mark 5.
In these examples we’ve looked at, someone had to ask the question that you must ask yourself:
“where do I go from here?” The answer is up to you. And the answer you give
will determine your direction. Will you choose to stay in the situations and
circumstances of life that have perhaps always been in? Or will you choose to
use your faith to move in the direction God has for you? God’s direction leads
to your divine destiny!
I’m not saying it will be easy or that things will happen overnight, Remember, this is a fight of
faith. And it’s by faith and patience that we inherit the promises of God. Your
flesh doesn’t want to live by faith. But as your spirit gets stronger, you will
have the victory every time!
How to win the war between the flesh and the Spirit? Your spirit gets stronger as you feed on
God’s Word. Don’t do things just because you want to do them, that’s being led
by the flesh. Find out what God’s Word has to say before you act.
Learn how to walk with God. Ask God, “Where do you want me to go from here?” Quit trying to put
your plan into action. Put His plan into action and receive His best for your life.
If you know for certain that God told you to do something and you obey, even though it seems
contrary to natural laws, there is no way you can fail, because God never fails.
You will never fulfill your divine destiny if you let your natural man and senses make your
decisions and choose your direction. The bible says in Romans 8:6: “For to be carnally minded is death;
but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”  Only if you choose the
plan God has for you will be able to fulfill your divine destiny.
There are two directions you can take. One is to press on with God. The second is to run back to
something that you know is secure. But you’ll never be what God wants you to be
if you turn and run. On the other hand, if you press toward the mark and begin
to confess who you are in Jesus, things will turn out well for you.
